The smallest mammal (in size) is the Etruscan shrew whose length is under 5cm. The electric eel of South America can kill its prey by stunning it with an electric shock. It can discharge 500 volts of electricity into its victim, which is enough to kill a person. The sound of a howler monkeys can be heard 4 km away. The kangaroo rat never needs to drink water. It lives in desert. It can make some of its food into water present inside its body. The most famous playwright is William Shakespeare. He wrote 38 plays and no one knows how many times they have been performed since he wrote them 400 years ago. The world's largest published book was unveiled on 15 December, 2003 in New York. the book is entitled Bhutan and weights 60.3 kg, has 114 full colour pages and is 5x7 ft when opened. Dr James T. Clack of Alabama (USA) treated patients even though he himself was a blind. Fritz Meng of Germany built a violin out of 8000 matchsticks.
